The graph is my favourite data structure and this video reinforces that idea

#microblog
Microcontrollers are so confusing to me. Even with a CS degree I feel like I'm at square one again. Like I have no idea what stuff I need or how to wire it up.
And don't get me started on how little I know about electricity, which is embarrassingly little.
Now, I do have tutorials and LLMs helping me out but pressing the order button on AliExpress feels daunting, even though it's just ~$16 USD (scratch that it was actually $30 USD due to storage and taxes). I do not trust myself (or an LLM for that matter) to know that I have not fucked up.
Holy the blackmagic camera app is sooo good! How did I not hear about it before now?
If you think your own Youtube recommendations are full of slop just know that it could be worse. Turning off watch history shows you what most people watch on YouTube and it's filled to the brim with doomer content, radical content, awful clickbait and equally awful thumbnails. No wonder the world feels like shit
HΓ₯kon Wium Lie is an interesting character
Just tried AI-generating an osu! map just to see what it would cook up. It's better than me at mapping π
"Stalking" people is kinda fun. Looking up people you once knew and see what journey through life they ended up taking.
It's kinda like a school reunion, except I'm not actually meeting anyone. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug but I do miss a lot of these people
Spring is here! Life finally feels worth living again
My favourite video on the internet these days
https://youtu.be/6jAT_c9oUlE
Feeling a sudden influx of euphoria rn. Like I am able to do anything I want to. Everything I come across is interesting and something I want to learn more about
It's great! However I know that the feeling will subside by tomorrow morning. And I know I will get a harsh reality check whenever I decide to sit down and work on one of the hundreds of aspirations I've had for the past hour
Last.fm is such an unreliable source. Sometimes, songs I've "loved" disappear from the platfrom. More often than not there are duplicates with inconsistent metadata.
I just had to re-love a couple of songs because of missing metadata and now the date in the recently liked songs section of this site is displaying the wrong date :(
I am starting to think that pulling data directly from YouTube Music might be the better option. It has more accurate data on when I started listening to a certain song anyway. Although I wanted to be streaming platform agnostic in case I ever decide to switch again
music finally sounds good again
parannoul and atarayo are so peak man
TIL the word ζΆ¦ε¦
I figured it out! I just had to disable the built in VM display and plug my monitor directly into my dedicated GPU
I seemingly got GPU passthrough working from a Linux host to a Windows VM but the one thing I needed the VM for, using Davinci Resolve, does not work. I'm getting some weird OpenGL error. Gah!
No I'm not gonna encode all my h264 footage to huge files just to edit on Linux
what in the japanese aaah packaging is this? I get that there are more cakes than one would typically eat in a single serving (unless you're a fatass like me) but this is not something to aspire to

This channel is pure gold! This video in particular reminded me of the ηΈθθ₯ζ²Ήι€
at this place I ate 2.5 years ago. I still think about it to this day.
The camera I'm looking to buy costs 10K NOK less in Japan (and even less tax free, which I qualify for) than in Norway. I can get a round trip plane ticket for less than that. Buy a lens as well and I would save money and get the experience of being there
hmmm... girl math do be girl mathing π
I had forgotten how bad Counter-Strike had become until I hopped into a quick deathmatch game where 90% of the players were cheaters or XP-farming bots

This guy has an ability to make the nordics (or anything, really) look way better than IRL. Not only this video but all his videos. I wonder how he can afford all that camera gear and all that travelling.
Makes me want to travel more domestically as well but I doubt my lazy ass ever will bother to
2026 is gonna be the year of poor financial decisions
in other news I recovered from my cold last week, just before my trip but now I'm getting a cold again. I think it's more common for me to be sick when I travel than not. Just my luck I guess π
gave up on http3
Decided at 1 AM that it was a good idea to enable http3 on my (nginx) web server. it was not...
- had two separate certs, one for root domain and one wildcard. had to combine them
- entering a subdomain now gives me an error saying it's invalid because it's tied to a whole different root domain
- eventually fixes itself (caching?)
- now entering a subdomain returns the content of the root domain (this site)
- internet tells me to add a listen clause to all subdomain server blocks. does not work. I make sure to remove cache and reload the server every time
- while typing a troubleshooting step I get a notification from my uptime monitor saying shit works
- it actually does but not for all subdomains
- ???
- now I just wait for it to fix itself???
I have no clue what's going on. There has to be some kind of caching although I've made sure to avoid it.
What sucks is that http3 only works on my root domain because nginx complains about duplicate listening clauses when adding it elsewhere. Moreover almost all my services are proxy redirects that use http 1 or 2 behind the scenes anyway so it was all for "nothing"?
4 hours later I can cofidently say that if your config is not broken, don't fix it. biggest waste of time of my life
ruh roh I feel it in my throat, I'm gonna be sick tomorrow
luckily I'll have time to recover before my trip
I wish I could enable watch history for youtube music only and not youtube itself.
Ever since I turned it off last year my music recommendations have been ass. At the same time I don't want to enable it because I have a crippling youtube addiction and getting recommended videos is not helping. Although from what I've heard most of it is slop now but I'm afraid I'll fall back into watching a lot more youtube than I want to
Recommendations is the main appeal of using a streaming service over... other means of listening to music
Meanwhile this wednesday may have been the worst day I've had in a while π
Despite the lack of sleep, today has been a great day. I managed to complete several errands, while also killing the dead time in between said errands by being a tourist in my own city. And to top it all off I got complimented by a stranger on my clothing
Who knew touching concrete instead of plastic keycaps could be so rewarding?
It's interesting how once I'm woken up by someone, it's almost impossible for me to fall back to sleep. Same goes for simple things like going to the bathroom
But it also really sucks when I'm actually tired and need to sleep.
Got a solid 2 hours tonight π
I think I might be addicted to Geoguessr
Looks like seasonal depression is back on the menu boys! Yeehaw π€
Indonesian hyperpop might be my new guilty pleassure. It sounds a bit weird to listen to but it don't miss
After a long period of being kind of stressed out I finally had a day where I just did nothing. Feels kinda wrong but at the same it feels kinda good.
My neighbour decided that it would be a great idea to mow the lawn at 8 AM today. He then proceeded to bring his loud ass kids out while hammering away on some stupid project
Can't even do anything about it since I need the window to be open to not die of a heat stroke
Fuck you!
Taking pictures in 16:9 / 9:16 is a sin. A sin I am unfortunately guilty of committing
